Streamer University

Are you trying to figure out how to get into Streaming?  Are you not sure where to start?  Are you afraid of getting scammed by those "Get Famous by Clicking This Link" promotions?  Well, read on because we may be of assistance.

First off, let me get this out in the open.  I am not going to ask you for money.  I am not going to offer followers, or to get famous.  Anyone that tells you to give them money for them to teach you how to get followers/famous is scamming you.  Most knowledge regarding getting into streaming is readily available to the internet.  Some will charge you for what is free because "they took the time to put it all together for you".  We here at Notes and Nerds Nation are NOT going to ask for your money.  We just want to provide.

There is one caveat though.  We have a Discord server with our Streamer U category with associated channels that you will need to join.  It's okay.  It is all free.

What will Streamer U consist of?  Well, that is easy enough.  How about I present that to you in a bullet list.

  • Where to stream
    • Twitch
    • YouTube
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • etc.
  • PC Hardware
    • Knowing your PC, and it's limitations
    • What methods of Video Capture is best.
      • Do you need to spend a lot on good capture devices?
    • Stream Decks
      • Do you need one, and what benefits do they provide
  • PC Software
    • The actual program(s) you will use to stream with
      • OBS
      • Streamlabs
      • Discord
  • Lights
    • How to make the most out of what lights you have
    • How to use different lights to create focus
  • Microphones
    • What mics work best
    • Do you really need expensive "specialty mics", or not
  • Bots
    • Chat moderation
    • Notifications
    • Interactions
  • Themes and elements
    • Creating a theme that captures "who you are"
    • Notification elements that capture your audiences attention
    • Sound Effects
  • Building a Community
  • Collaborations
These "courses" will be presented in a format that is simple and easily digestible.  Links to software and hardware that we use will be presented accordingly.  If anyone tries to convince you that we are charging for these courses, they are lying to you.  These courses will be present in Discord via our Streamer U category with uploads to Twitch and YouTube.  Join the Discord server today, and we will announce the first class in the "News and Updates" channel.
