Keith the Critic Movie Reviews - Maze Runner The Death Cure

This final film based on the Maze Runner books written by James Dashner.

The film stars Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, one of the last three boys who are immune to the virus that is killing the world. Thomas and his friends stop a train they believe is holding their kidnapped friend Minho. Minho and many others are being held by WCKD in an attempt to develop a cure. When they find that Minho, who is played by Ki Hong Lee, is not on that train, they must go into WCKD headquarters.

On their way they meet Gally, played by Will Poulter, who is now living near the last city. Gally agrees to help them enter WCKD. There they find Teresa, who is played by Kaya Scodelario, and must convince her to help. She must determine which side she is on, yet again.

This is the best of the three Maze Runner films. I enjoyed the acting and the directing was OK. The script was good and the action was great. The release was delayed due to a Dylan O'Brien injury so there was a lot of anticipation by the younger crowd. If you liked the first two movies, you'll like this one as well.

I gave it 3 out of 4 stars but my teenaged daughter gave it 4. You decide.
