This movie shows the struggles our service men and women go through when returning home from war. Miles Teller plays the part of young Staff Sergeant Adam Schumann whose job in Iraq was to spot IUD's before the troops unwittingly did. He was considered a hero by his brothers in arms but he felt he was anything but. When he and his squad return home to Kansas, life is not the same. Sounds, dreams, certain words, all strike fear in these brave soldiers.
This very real story based on truth is well worth seeing. I really enjoyed it. It's emotional and telling. War is cruel even after the fact. This movie was well written, well acted, and well directed. Amy Schumer has a small part that is much different than her norm and she did really well.
I gave this movie 3 1/2 out of 4 stars.
Thank you to our veterans for their service!
