Ghostbusters: Afterlife Review

A fitting tribute to Harold Ramis and Egon Spengler.

REVIEW:

Afterlife was everything you could ever want in a Ghostbusters sequel. It had adventure, humor, homage, and nostalgia. More than anything this film had heart, and a lot of it. This movie payed tribute to the late Harold Ramis and Egon Spengler perfectly. If they would of tried to do someelse, it wouldn't have worked and we would of had a mess like Ghostbusters (2016), which was a dumpster fire.

Seeing Annie Potts, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson together again was a dream come. Yes, even Sigourney Weaver is back in Ghostbusters Afterlife as Dana Barrett, although only in the mid-credits scene. Sadly, a cameo from Rick Moranis as Louis Tully didn't happen. Some other surprises were adorable little mii Pufts, the terror dogs, Gozer, and Ivo Shandor.

Things You Didn't Know About Ghostbusters: Afterlife:
  1. Zombie at Diner pays homage to Zombie Cabby in the original movie.
  2. Ray's Occult Books from Ghostbusters 2.
  3. Egon being armchair grabbed like Dana in the original movie.
  4. Twinkie reference from original movie.
  5. Oliver Copper was Egon's body-double in the Afterlife film.
  6. Kenner's Real Ghostbusters Bug-eye Ghost makes an appearance in the film.
