Keith the Critic Movie Reviews - Mother
Mothers are wonderful. However, was this "Mother" a good thing? Keith the Critic reviews this thriller.
This thriller stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as husband and wife known as Mother and Him. Both are happily married and living in his childhood home. Mother is cheerfully remodeling the old house that had previously burned down. While Him is a struggling author who can't seem to get started on his next book.
When a mysterious stranger shows up claiming to be a fan of his work, he invites the stranger to stay with them much to Mother's dismay. The man, who is played by Ed Harris, is sick and dying. Soon his wife, who is played by Michelle Pfeiffer, also appears at their door. Neither have any respect for Mother. Things are continuing to get weird when Mother discovers she is pregnant. The house, however, is not as it seems and neither are the growing number of guests.
Darren Aronofsky directed this movie so I expected it to be odd and it was. His movies make sense to him but sometimes not to anyone else. The average person won't understand.
The acting was great by a fantastic cast, but I can only give this movie 2 out of 4 stars. Wait for this movie on Netflix.
