Air is what we breathe, but what if it was all unbreathable and toxic? Welcome to the near future when the last of humanity sleep until the day comes when the air is safe again. Introducing this weeks film, "Air".
"In the near future, breathable air is nonexistent. Virtually all of humanity has disappeared and those chosen to reestablish society reside in a controlled state of suspended animation. Two engineers tasked with guarding the last hope for mankind struggle to preserve their own sanity and lives while administering to their vital task at hand." - IMDb
This is an interesting, claustrophobic film where two engineers wake every so often to ensure that the cryogenically frozen survivors of a post apocalyptic Earth survive to see a world they are able to return to. The film is a bit of a slow burn, but it is an enjoyable film.
Starring Norman Reedus, Djimon Hounsou, and Sandrine Holt
