I have always been a hardcore fan of the Ninja Turtles Franchise. I have seen, or have had everything TMNT at some point and time. I have seen some bad ideas come from the Ninja Turtles Franchise, but the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is not one of them. As a hardcore fan of TMNT, I really enjoyed the new movie and can't wait until the sequel. I'm really sick and tired of these bad reviews by them Hollywood movie critics that don't know the ass from their elbow. To me, a movie critic is just an opinion, but as we know opinions are like asses and everybody has one but some are just bigger than others. So as a fan, and clearly not a movie critic, these are my "5 Reasons Why The New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Was Awesome!"
1. The New Look
2. The Mix Childish and Adult Humor
By far, this was the funnest version of the Ninja Turtles. There were jokes in there for kids and adults to laugh about, there was material that paid tribute to the Ninja Turtles franchise thrown in there to make you giggle. So, the punch lines where there and in full effect.
3. Misdirection On Shredder
Everyone was lead to believe that William Fichtner was the Shredder but it was Tohoru Masamune that would play Shredder. This misdirection only made the movie better!
4. A New Spin On the Back Story
The origin of Splinter and his Turtles is based on the IDW comics, where they were lab subjects and April O'Neil is a lab assistant who named them. Splinter finds a book on martial arts that he uses to discipline and train the Turtles. In the original Kevin Eastman-Peter Laird comics, he found a book on Renaissance artists that he uses to give the Turtles names. Sorry, No Aliens here!
5. The Amazing Fight Scenes
In the first and second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, the Turtles would only fight Shredder once and it was at the end of the movies. But in this version they fight him several times. The action in this is very intense, high powered, and well done.
If you are a TMNT fan, you will like this movie!
