SDCC Avengers 2 News

The San Diego Comic Con is now officially over.  Has been for a few days.  There was so much announced that we are STILL sifting through all of the news.  However, let's talk about all of the HUGE Avengers: Age of Ultron news that we have mustered together.

Marvel has released a series of posters of each of the Avengers fighting a horde of Ultron clones.  It was an impressive set of posters, let me just tell you.  However, what is really awesome is how they all piece together to form one large poster that truly gives you a grand scope of what to expect when the movie hits next summer.

We have the returning Avengers from the first film, and we have new members.  These new members include QuickSilver (Blue fellow with white hair), Scarlet Witch (Red head between Capt America and Hawkeye), and Vision (Upper left corner floating).  Considering both QuickSilver and Scarlet Witch are Magneto's children, I am certainly curious how that is going to play out seeing Sony owns the rights to X-Men, and Disney/Marvel does not.

Now, regarding Vision, will be played by Paul Bettany.  Bettany, you may recognize, has portrayed the voice of Jarvis in all three Iron Man films, and the first Avengers film.  This go around, he will be slathered in make up.  Curiously, rumors have circulated a while now that Ultron, and possibly Vision (?), will be a product of Tony Stark.  Not sure how this will play out, but one way to find out...wait and watch the film.

Paul Bettany discussed playing Vision regarding the fact he gets to do a lot of punching.    In an interview with ScreenRant.com, Bettany discussed not only does he do a lot of punching, but Vision can alter his density.  From the interview, it sounds like there are other powers, but none of which have been divulged yet.

During the Hall H panel, Captain America's shield was on display.  However, it was ominously broken.  What can this mean?  Quite a bit, but it could be more promotional than anything else.  We will have to wait and see.  Also, there was a prop of what looked like an autonomous "Iron Man" robot.  I dare call it that as the head looked like it has the faceplate of the armor, and one hand was red.  However, it was obviously a robot.  Rumor has it that, as I said earlier, Ultron is a byproduct of Tony Stark, and finds its way into an Iron Man suite.

Lastly, Marvel announced to expect Avengers 3 sometime May 2018.  After that concludes, Phase 4 of the MCU begins.  What that holds, we have no idea.
